VMX42SWi 5-Axis Machining Center – We will showcase head porting and head machining with a demonstration from our customer Mast Motorsports, also an exhibitor at PRI (booth 3128).

The Hurco VMX42SWi is a sophisticated 5-axis machine that utilizes a swivel head for the B-axis with travels of +/- 90 degrees and a rotary table for the A-axis. The VMX42SWi has X/Y/Z travels of 42” x 24” x 24”, a 12,000 RPM dual-wound Yaskawa spindle motor, fast 1,378 ipm rapid traverse rates (X and Y axes), larger linear rails that are wedge locked and mounted to a machined shoulder to increase rigidity, and a 40-station swing-arm automatic tool changer (ATC). Equipped with UltiMotion and the Hurco MAX5 control, which is the most flexible control in the industry because it is equally powerful for conversational programming or Industry Standard NC.

TM6i Slant-Bed Lathe - We will be machining AN fittings on our most popular CNC lathe. The TM6i features a 45-degree true slant-bed cast design in addition to an extra wide saddle and large Z-axis rails that further maximize rigidity. We also strategically spaced the linear guide ways to increase support to the cross slide and made sure this general purpose lathe was designed with a generous turning diameter and turning length.

HTM30i Toolroom Mill – Just introduced in September, the Hurco HTM30i features an open-bed design that provides easy access to the table. Also called a toolroom mill, this entry level machine includes all of the technology power of the MAX5 control. See our gear demo on the HTM30i.

CNC Honing – Hurco customer and technology partner Bates Technologies will be at our booth to demonstrate CNC honing. Hurco and Bates debuted the CNC Machining/Honing technology at PRI last year. Machine in the morning. Hone in the afternoon!
