An original song by Ashley Wright and The Vance Gap Ramblers.
2019 entry to NPR's #TinyDeskContest
"This is the kind of song that can be written on the other side of the thing. When you have come to terms with your pain and are strong enough to name it. Grieving is surely difficult; It’s more difficult when you have nowhere to go for answers. No burial or true ending. Being left with the questions and only your own reasoning to make sense of it all. This is deeply personal to me and I imagine that lots of folks can relate to the heaviness or loss represented in the melody and lyrics."
